About Me: I am a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Journalism, studying the Strategic Communications track. My journalism career began as a freshmen in high school as a staff member of my high school yearbook The Spartan Annual. During my junior year, I was named junior editor, which included some major responsibilities. I was in charge of all senior photographs as well as making sure every student was in the yearbook at lease three times. Senior year, I was Editor-in-Chief. Being editor taught me that I enjoyed the business and organization side of having a project and people to manage while simultaneously getting to be creative. In college, I am a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and the Association for Women in Communications (AWC). Both clubs bring in speakers in the media field to discuss their careers and journeys within the media world.
I am originally from Minnesota and look forward to returning this summer to reunite with my friends and family. Additionally, I will be continuing my internship at Precision Lens and Precision Eye Services where I organize orders and returns from hospitals and surgery centers.
Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, baking, waterskiing, reading, traveling and being active.
10 years from now, I hope to work in marketing or advertising for a company in a major city.
